The story behind it all
Hi, I'm Kim Unwin, fertility advocate, entrepreneur, and the founder of The F Word Asia.
My journey into this space began the way it does for so many women: quietly, and alone. Going through fertility struggles of my own, I kept hitting the same wall. There was clinical information, but very little emotional support. Conversations around fertility were avoided, misunderstood, or simply never had. And yet so many of us were silently going through the same thing.
Six years ago, I co-founded a ground-up support group for women navigating infertility. What started as a small gathering of women sharing their stories has since grown into a registered charity, a testament to just how many people needed a space like this.
Through that work, I saw another gap emerge: beyond emotional support, women needed access to structured, reliable information throughout their fertility journey. That led me to co-found OEVEO, a fertility platform built to provide trusted resources, tools, and curated guidance at every stage.
The F Word Asia came from the same place. A need to reach a wider community. To use education, storytelling, and real conversation to make fertility feel less clinical, less shameful, and less lonely.
My mission is simple: to change how fertility is experienced in Asia. Making it less lonely, more informed, and more supported. No one should have to go through this alone.
